With over 25 years experience Les has successfully managed multiple demolition, new build refurbishments and external work projects. He has an exemplary record for handing over projects on time and with the highest levels of client satisfaction.
His CV boasts a vast and impressive number of prestigious projects which he has been involved in but a few of the most notable include a £421m ‘Design & Build’ project with BBC West One. By liaising closely with architects and all trades involved, Les was able to ensure a stunning design became a working reality which met every aspect of the brief.
A £261m project with the Queens Hospital PFI managing the construction of a day nursery, bus station and external phases 2, 3 and 4 is another significant project in Les’ portfolio, but it was his role working with Hatchside School in Ilford which he feels is his ‘stand out’ project in his career. This involved the pre-construction and new build of an SEN school.
Proud to be involved in a project which had such a fantastic purpose Les was delighted with the successful handover after some real challenges had been experienced; built during the early days of the most recent pandemic Les had to take on additional and unexpected responsibility when the Project Manager fell poorly with Covid. Les overcame the challenges this created to finish with a project which was not only delivered on time but with the client awarding a 10/10 for client relations.
Les is particularly gifted at bringing a team together and ensuring they all pull in the same direction. His excellent communication skills and honest approach as he brings together architects, clients and the Alcema team leads to successful handovers with every project under his care.
With a passion for procedure, organisation and quality control Les ensures safety is a key focus for everyone involved. He is a ‘go to’ within the Alcema team for his honesty and experience and his forthright approach is valued by all.
